Meet the students who lead our Conversation Group, Book Club, and Writing Lab sessions!


Conversation Group Leader

Anahi is a Political Science major and a French minor. She is a sophomore and is from El Paso, Texas. She is currently involved with Trojan Herstory as a Content Creator and is an active member of Phi Alpha Delta, a pre-law organization. Anahi is a transfer student and prior to attending USC she attended Florida Atlantic University. Anahi is dedicated to political organizing and has been a part of various organizations such as Students for Bernie and the Florida Immigrant Coalition. She is also passionate about learning about other cultures and countries, and hopes to study abroad at some point during her academic career. In her free time Anahi enjoys yoga, reading, and musical theatre.


Conversation Group Leader

Andreya is a sophomore currently majoring in KSM: Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Studies, B.S. She is involved in USC’s Thematic Option Honors Program, which focuses on extensive reading and writing on topics that are unique to USC’s reading and writing curriculum. She is also part of the Masters Progressive Degree Program and plans to master in Health Administration. Graduating in 2025, Andreya has dreams of traveling the world, going to medical school abroad (in Chile or Jamaica), and doing her post-back at Columbia University. Raised in Southern California her whole life, Andreya has been in love with USC’s campus since he was a young girl, so being here is a dream
come true for her! Andreya will be your champion as she wants nothing but for those around her to succeed.


Conversation Group Leader

Belis is a junior double majoring in business administration and psychology! As a tri-citizen, Belis has had a colorful and multicultural upbringing. She was born in Zurich and raised in Istanbul with her two younger brothers, so she knows what it’s like to leave home and go to school in a completely new environment on the other side of the world. Aside from English, Belis is also fluent in German/Swiss German and Turkish. She can also speak a little bit of Italian. She loves all things music, movies, art history, design, marketing, fashion, sports, and exploration/travel. All in all, Belis truly enjoys getting to know people and listening to their stories. She is very excited to meet new students and be their go-to person to chat about anything from American culture to academic/career prep in a supportive, completely open, and fun setting. 


Conversation Group Leader

Chelsea is a senior at USC studying International Relations and Global Business. She’s excited to meet new students at the American Language Institute, having recently returned from a semester abroad in the Netherlands. Chelsea was raised in a bilingual household in the Bay Area, having spent her first three years in Dalian, China. On campus, she’s held leadership positions such as being president of the USC Exchange Student Supporters, a research assistant in consumer behavior, and a TA for a core business class. In her free time, Chelsea loves going on hikes, attending live music events, and trying out new recipes. She’s always up for a chat about music, fashion, history, food, travel, pop culture, design, writing, marketing, and technology.

Gina Nguyen is a third-year undergraduate student studying Russian. She is passionate about storytelling through photojournalism and cultural exchange. Gina is involved in the Air Force ROTC program, the Vietnamese Students Association, and the Daily Trojan.

Jessica is a third-year student pursuing a double major in Cinema and Media Studies and Public Policy. As an aspiring filmmaker, writer, music producer, and director, she has been exploring her passion for the entertainment industry as a producer’s assistant for Palette Pictures and a member of Delta Kappa Alpha’s Professional Cinema Fraternity. At USC, she is the President of Taekwondo Club and Vice President of Public Relations of Trojan Steel. Apart from school, she has a passion for tutoring and volunteering with diverse communities, and she is excited to meet all new and active international students as a supportive and inspirational mentor! In her free time, she enjoys experimenting with sound design, filmmaking, playing the piano, drinking boba, writing, listening to music, and playing tennis.


Conversation Group Leader

Josie is an Administration and Intelligence & Cyber Operations major, with a minor in East Asian Languages and Cultures. She is an incoming sophomore from Denver, Colorado. As a volunteer tax preparer, she loves helping other people while also being able to learn from them. In her free time, she loves playing with her dogs, visiting animal sanctuaries, and meeting new people. Josie is very excited to work with all of you!


Conversation Group Leader

Kamila (shortly Kami) is a graduate student in the M.S. in Digital Social Media program at the Annenberg School for Journalism and Communication. She is an international student from Kazakhstan, which is located in Central Asia. Kamila is also a holder of the Bolashak International Scholarship. Prior to attending USC, she worked for two years at an international company in the brand marketing department. Outside of school, Kamila has a passion for swimming and playing tennis. She also speaks three languages fluently: Kazakh, Russian, and English. Kamila is excited to meet new people from all over the world because she thinks that is a perfect opportunity for cultural exchange. If you need help, Kamila is always ready to help you:)

Conversation Group Leader

Meg is a graduate student in the M.S in Marketing Analytics program. Prior to attending USC, she worked as a digital marketing professional in the Bay Area. She was born in India, grew up in Singapore amongst a global expatriate community, and has been based in California for the past seven years. She has had plenty of experience working and interacting with people from all over the world, and looks forward to meeting new international students and being a friendly and approachable source of support! In her free time, she loves doing yoga, going on hikes, watching reality TV shows and baking.

Natalie is pursuing a double major in Philosophy, Politics, & Law and Spanish and plans to pursue a career in criminal law.  She is a senior from Cleveland, Ohio and is a Presidential Scholar studying in the Thematic Option Honors Program.  On campus, Natalie is involved in QuestBridge Scholars, USC Model UN, Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity, Trojan Scholars Society, and Gamma Phi Beta sorority.  Growing up she was dedicated to theatre, including studying and performing at Cleveland Play House.  She has served as a volunteer camp counselor with Mi Pueblo Culture Camp in Cleveland and has volunteered with Angel City Pit Bull animal shelter in Los Angeles.  An avid concertgoer, she also enjoys visiting SoCal’s beaches and mountains and exploring all that L.A. has to offer.  You’ll find her reading Russian literature, watching telenovelas, playing acoustic guitar, hiking, drinking boba and eating sushi. She is excited to meet all of you in her conversation groups!


Conversation Group Leader

Sein is a third-year student pursuing a Health and Human Sciences major with three minors of Psychology, Theatre, and Education. She is from Seoul, South Korea and moved to the United States 2 years ago with her family. As an aspiring psychologist, she helps out graduate students and professors as a research assistant at USC Social Psychology lab. She is greatly interested in health equity and world health policies, and demonstrates this passion through different clubs such as Partners in Health Engage or Med-ucate USC. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, listening to music, and spending time with her friends. She is always open to answer any questions you might have, and she will be down to talk to you anytime! 🙂


Conversation Group Leader

Veda is a Trustee Scholar at USC studying Biomedical Engineering. She is interested in the intersection of engineering and business to advance healthcare. On campus, some of her involvements include the Society of Women Engineers, a startup-consulting club (RISE), and a South-Asian social service organization (Project RISHI). She is passionate about women in the workplace, STEM outreach to underserved communities and using interdisciplinary approaches to tackle business problems.
