uSC ITA Program

Bita is a third-year law student at USC Gould and has served as a Program Assistant since Spring 2022. She earned her bachelor’s degree in International Relations with a minor in Iranian Studies from USC before beginning law school. Outside of the ALI, Bita enjoys reading, exploring Los Angeles, and traveling to new destinations. At USC Gould, she has been actively involved in the Women’s Law Association, the First Generation Professionals student organization, the Mediation Clinic, and Moot Court.

Harmony is a sophomore at USC, majoring in Human Biology. She is a military child and has grown up all across the country, but has loved the 6 years she’s had in LA the most. Harmony loves cooking, taking pictures, spending time at the beach, and attending sports games with friends in the Coliseum and Galen Center! She also enjoys her work at a pediatric clinic, lifeguarding, and shadowing in the OR!

Suzu (class of ’28) is a Business Administration major with a passion for strategy and business development. Originally from Tokyo, Japan, she moved to the Bay Area along with her family during her early childhood. She enjoys writing, watching movies, and cafe hopping in her free time, and she is excited to continue exploring LA with her friends throughout her college journey! Suzu’s favorite movie is La La Land, and one of the top places she’d like to visit in LA is the Griffith Observatory.

Alexie is a BFA Acting for Stage and Screen major in the Class of ’28. Born in the Philippines and raised in New York City, she has a strong passion for the arts and all things creative. In her free time, she enjoys roller skating, playing guitar, exploring fashion and makeup, trying new foods, and attending live theatre. This is her third year working as a uSC, and she truly enjoys supporting students through the ALI program!

Atrina, Class of ’29, is a Psychology major here at USC. Born in Iran and raised in NorCal, she has been translating for and teaching English to her immigrant family. She has experience in translation, as she has volunteered as a linguist for TED. She is passionate about helping others with second-language learning, which makes her proud and excited to be part of this program again. In her free time, Atrina loves exploring LA and trying different trendy restaurants, driving to the beach to read her book, or hanging out with her friends.

Emily, Class of 29′, is a Political Science major with a Legal Studies minor. Emily was born in Nicaragua and grew up in Las Vegas.  Although she has visited LA multiple times, she is excited to explore all the new experiences she has not done previously. At USC, she is a member of Latinos Student in Law (LSL), Society of Women in Law (SWIL) and our Moot Court Brief Writing team. On a Pre-Law track, Emily hopes to endeavor in opportunities related to community service, Immigration and Family law, as well as judicial involvement. During days off she spends her time volunteering at non-profit organizations such as CARECEN LA and Immigrant Foundation in Las Vegas. In her free time, she enjoys trying new matcha shops, going to the beach, scouring flea markets, and practicing yoga.

Hannah, Class of ’29, is an English major with a Legal Studies minor. Hannah was born and grew up in Los Angeles. At USC, she is a member of the Daily Trojan, Trojan Review, and Student Symphony Orchestra. On the Pre-Law track, Hannah hopes to pursue legal opportunities related to business law or international relations law. In her free time, she spends her time reading from her pile of books, catching up with friends at new restaurants in LA, and exploring new study spots on campus.

Jayron, class of ’27, is a Computer Science and Business Administration major under USC Viterbi. Jayron is a Los Angeles native, but is eager to explore the world, the different cultures, languages, and people. At USC, he is a member of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), ProductSC, and Avenues Consulting. Outside of academics, Jayron is a big fan of sports, with volleyball and soccer being his favorite sports, you might even see him at the Lyon Center courts and Brittingham Field. He hopes to go into Project Management or Business Strategy within the Tech world, allowing him to travel more to try even more different foods around the world.

Jenny, class of 28’, is a communications major. Jenny was born in Stuttgart Germany and raised in Beijing China until she moved to Los Angeles in 2014. With a multicultural background, in her free time Jenny loves to learn new languages and try different recipes. Growing up across three cultures sparked her passion to see the world, leading her to visit more than 25 countries. As a writer for Annenberg Media, Jenny is passionate about cross-cultural storytelling and entertainment journalism, with a focus on connecting people and perspectives through compelling stories.

Kim, Class of ’28, is a Legal Studies major with a minor in Forensics and Criminality. Originally from Orange County, California, she enjoys spending time with her sisters in Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Inc., having found a home away from home. Outside of school, she loves traveling, exploring new places, attending live music events, and finding the best sweet treats wherever she goes. When she’s not out exploring, she’s probably taking a nap, watching a movie, or most recently, reading a book.

Nicolas, Class of 29′, is a Human Biology major, along with being a pre-medicine student. Nicolas is from Houston, Texas, and is fairly new to the Los Angeles area. At USC, he serves as the Spanish Language Chair for the Trojan Health Interpretation Services. Additionally, outside of class, Nicolas volunteers at PIH Good Samaritan Hospital in downtown LA. In his free time, he often attends USC sporting events and travels around Southern California.

Scarlett, Class of ’29, is a pre-med Cognitive Science major. She is originally from Northern California, and is looking forward to getting to know LA better. On campus, Scarlett is involved with Science Outreach, and during her free time, she enjoys reading, spending time in nature, and exploring the city with friends.

Thamra is a Computational Linguistics Major from the class of 2029, with minors in GIS & Sustainability Science and Speech-Language & Hearing Professions. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, photography, comedy TV, and learning new languages. A Sri-Lankan American from the Bay Area, she is excited to explore a new metropolitan area like Los Angeles (especially by bus and train, as a public transit enthusiast).

Tiffany (Class of ’27) is a Dramatic Arts Theatre major interested in education and production development. Originally from LA, she spent her childhood in Korea before returning to the States to attend a ballet boarding school. In her free time, she loves discovering new cafes, watching movies, and taking photos. For her final year at SC, she’s excited to explore LA and connect with as many peers as possible!
